Wednesday – what is it good for ?

I really dont like Wednesdays. Wednesdays are neither here nor there.

It’s smack in the middle and you can’t complaint about the weekend hangover like you do on Monday. Songs that go ‘Rainy Days and Wednesdays Always Bring Me Down‘ just doesn’t strike the same soulful chord. Fridays you can look forward to the evening drinking and weekend debauchery, not to mention the wonderful acronyms – TGIF, POETS day et al. Tuesdays, (with the hangover gone) you can actually get most of your work done and ditto for Thursdays when you immerse yourself into work in anticipation of Friday.

Wednesday are altogether lacking in any such redeeming qualities.

It’s high time people became aware of the bad influence Wednesdays are having on our lives.

PS – Saturdays are fine, and Sundays almost so except to the extent it is marred by thoughts of Monday.
