My faith in humanity….

….and its future is currently at an all-time low. As the Dictator pointed out, such faith should be pretty much non-existent in a world which consists of Twitters and Rediff message boards. But this article in The Telegraph that tries to create equal arguments for evolution and creationism, plunges moi into epic despair.

However, there is some comic value in this. Just read the comments section, especially a long, ‘reasoned’ post by one “Matt Klemp September 10, 2009 at 01:32 PM”. Just to wet your appetite:

Firstly this article is what it is a brief snap shot of some of the arguments for and against Evolution. Get over it give the man a break.

Secondly any evolutionist (and athiests for that matter) who insists there is definitly no God has blinkered thinking. For it is common sense to accept there is at least an equal possibility a God evolved and made us as there is to believe man evolved. Are you all following me? Hopefully by now you have seen some light at the end of the tunnel and are prepard for more truths.

Fourthly Darins Evolution is inherently flawed and scientists know this. He knew it had massive problems (think his comments on the eye) and even before the fossil records undermined him. Later observers with new information could see many other flaws in his arguments. For example the osterich having no natural predators so it loses its flying ability. Wrong! In the middle east the tiger and osterichs both form part of the fossil records. In africa, although not indiginous to this region the tiger has preyed on the osterich. Other cats also prey on the osterich even if only rarly. Also adaptation, natural selection, survival of the fittest though absolutly true can easily support a creation argument as much as they do an evolutionary one. When it became a realisation that darwins evolution was flawed they invented punctuated equilibrium. Why? because the strikingly logical arguments darwin presented demanded ages for his evolution to work. The facts didnt fit. Fossil records had no links for example the Giraffes neck (where is the fossil showing a gradual growing of the neck?). So Mr Gould got a square peg and smashed it into the round hole. Rather than throw darwins logical arguments (though flawed) in the bin when the logic was found to be flawed they made up the theory that life could substantially change over a short period of time thereby negating the neccesity of a steady fossil record.

Fifthly evolution cannot explain first cause or for that matter any other causation through the ages. If one were to ‘give’ scientific evolutionists the benefit of the doubt and say ok have this one we magically evolve over time can they explain caustation? No! Newtons laws and later einsteins demand a force greater than that of the mass of the universe for first cause…. i give you time to digest that one. how did the first lifeform come about. Louis Pastuer demonstrated life cannot come from nothing – only comes from life. This has never to my knowledge been argued against. science cannot demonstrate this in a labratory despite repeated tests over the last few decades. It has been reported that some key building blocks have been made from goo like substances with the white coats stimulating the tank with electrical charges. Question… in the cosmic begining in this illustration who plays the cosmic white coat and where does the energy come from?

Sixth, the bible also uses increidbly simple logic like darwin (that is not in any way flawed). Hebrews states ‘every house is constructed by someone but he who constructed all things is god’. As a construction manager it is unfathomable to accept that any advanced building could be the product of blind chance. For evolutionists to prove that a god doesnt exist they would need to argue that a simple man made structure is capable of coming into being by chance. If you came across a chair in a desert would you ever for one moment argue it had no maker or designer. This was paleys argument with a watch and i know many have tried undermining it but really all you need to do is show me a watch a house or even a simple chair that has arisen out of chance and no god and i will convert!!!
