Recurring Decimals…..

Everything here is irrelevant

When others say it for you….

…and say it much better than you could do. Much gratification ensues, since work (and not the usual general laziness this time), has kept me from posting regularly.

I wanted to write about all the Palin-mania going around and how the Democrats were focusing their energies on the wrong person, but the Lord came up with a clearly more elegant version here.

Then this post on the Sepia Mutiny –  the kind of knee-jerk ‘brownian’ tizzy they tend to throw themselves into occassionally that gets my beef – has been nicely ranted on by TGFI.

I am pretty certain that most regulars who come here will have already read these linked blogs as well, but wanted to give a shout out anyways.

Now, if only someone would also do the loads of protein purification, labeling, microscopy, patch-clamping  and such like for me, life would be perfect. The perennial hazard for regular lazy-asses like myself is that work-loads have a sneaky tendency  punch you in the face all of a sudden.

  1. I would still say that the Palin frenzy is mostly a media obsession just like the Obama run during the primary was. The Democrats and the Obama campaign would rather focus on McCain which they have been trying to do but the media refuses to listen.

Chris Matthews looks so insulted that he had to cover the lipstick saga. My question to him – so why did you?

  2. @Pat: Totally agree. Notice how the bad financial news is causing McCain to take more of a hit in the polls – that’s cause Palin-mania in the media has simmered down.

  3. I’ll trade with you: protein purification for getting fungal contamination out of precious cell line. :/

  4. @tgfi: I can show you low protein yield, but possibly fungal contamination trumps 😛
