Recurring Decimals…..

Everything here is irrelevant

Last Saturday was Riverfire, a half-an-hour fireworks spectacular that marks the beginning of the Riverfestival – kind of welcoming spring out here. We had a wonderful vantage point to watch the display that also included RAAF’s Roulettes and F1-11 flybys.

Unfortunately, I was not able to set-up my tripod – hence not too many good pictures of the fireworks or the air-show from my camera. If you squint enough (or open the larger image), you will see the Roulettes in this one:

Another one:

A not-so-dazzling segment of the fireworks display:

Much better pictures can be found here or here. Some of the shots of the F111 ‘dump and burn‘ are amazing (even though the act itself is not very environment-friendly). e,g:

The ‘fireworks-viewing’ party wasn’t bad either, with more than enough Shiraz, bottles of bubblies, and a great variety of cheese, the most delicious of which would have to be the Haloumi, flambéed in Cointreau:

YUM !!

  1. Looks like fun.

Also, I forgot to comment on your last post, but congrats on the football team making it to 152 in the elo rankings. Perhaps one day they will catch Saint Kitts and Nevis or Moldova.
