RIP, Sir Edmund Hillary

When I was a kid, Hillary’s life and especially his conquest of Mt Everest with Tenzing Norgay held a great deal of fascination.
Sir Edmund was also a tireless worker in the cause of improving the life of sherpas and their families, as well as highlight pollution issues in the Everest climbing track.

RIP, indeed.
Like you (and countless others, I am sure) the story of the conquest of Mt. Everest was quite fascinating and inspiring for me as well.
I’d clicked a photo on a flight to Bhutan:

I think you can usually get a good angle from 40,000 ft or so
You should try zooming close to Everest in Google Earth as well.. and play around it for a while.. good time pass..
