I didn’t quite like Ellen too except for that one cheeky comment about America not voting for Jennifer Hudson and yet she being there as a nominee and on the other hand America voting for Al-Gore but….

That was the best part.. Any dig at Bush and Bush lovers makes my day.

@Pat: Thanks. According to most sources it is agreed that David Letterman was the worst host sometime in the 90s. Never watched it so would not know.

Do start a separate discussion for The Departed. United 93 was powerful in its own way but when it comes to cinematic excellence, I still think The Departed was much much better.

I am high even without the Martinis or is it the Departinis . Quite often the movies I like don’t end up winning the Best Movie award and I don’t think the award was just to redress the earlier mistakes, if they can be called that- coz I don’t know the movies Raging Bull, Taxi Driver and Goodfellas were competing against. Loved the Oscars this year.

@Bongo – Damn it! I hate when I mix those two and unfortunetly I tend to do that way to often…
I agree that it should be on a saturday just like the Bowl game..
That way I don’t have to wear my glasses to school to cover up the fact that the Vodka still is running high in my system
